The Apex MWD team recently worked with a customer drilling the 5-in. lateral section of a well in the Haynesville Basin. They expected to encounter extreme temperatures, so they included the Apex HT tool, which is rated to 185°C/365°F, in the bottomhole assembly.

The operator was able to successfully complete the section in 264 circulating hours, drilling through temperatures as high as 374°F with no issues.
